Abstract

Our research tries to exploit the evolution of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in order to cope with the increasing complexity of industrial equipment. We plan well to meet the maintenance problem by allowing industrial companies to reduce inactive time of their equipment and the costs involved. Our goal is to provide a platform that allows experts to be informed in real time remotely. Therefore, our background investigation is in an area mainly involving two research areas. The first axis treats industrial maintenance issues remotely. This takes advantage of ICT and its integration in a maintenance process to reduce equipment downtime. While the second axis, revolves around the presence of the artificial Intelligence (AI) in the industrial field. To this end, we propose a mobile maintenance approach (M-Maintenance) based on mobile agent technology and mobile devices. In this perspective our thesis presents the basic principles of modeling and design of the proposed system. Semi-formal and formal modeling tools were used to provide a detailed description of our approach. Our approach is based on the design of open software architecture for integrating several environmental applications. Therefore, we chose the n-tier architecture. It offers easy adjustment that fits the overall behavior of the environment as required by its users
